Requirements

Ability to show up on time
Reasonable transportation to and from work
Ability to work outside during the heat
Ability to pick up at least 100 lbs
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening
Must possess a valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Traffic control technician or Traffic control Supervisor training
A C.D.L. license

Responsibilities

Setting and maintaining traffic control devices
Setting forms, reinforcing steel, anchor bolts and pouring concrete for sign foundations
Erecting pipe and angle iron frameworks by bolting, welding or other means prior to installation of directional and informational signs
Locating and drilling holes or hoisting signs into place
Fastening signs to the framework by bolting or other means
Performing other work associated with signing projects (i.e.: delineators, striping, striping removal, reflective pavement markers, lane closures, detours, etc.)
Placing traffic control devices on or adjacent to job site
Maintaining devices in the proper location and operating condition
Servicing and repairing equipment and devices
