About The Position

WRS has an immediate opening for a Traffic Control Supervisor. This is a variable-hour position responsible for designing Traffic Control Plans (TCPs), leading traffic control operations, and supporting civil construction, u asphalt, and paving projects throughout the region. This role combines field leadership and hands-on traffic control work with office-based TCP development and planning. About WRS WRS offers a wide range of services in a number of industries. Requirements

  • Must be a Certified Traffic Control Supervisor.
  • 2+ years experience as a Traffic Control Supervisor.
  • Experience leading flaggers and traffic control personnel on active construction projects.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move traffic control equipment and devices.
  • Must meet WRS driving eligibility requirements and maintain an acceptable driving record to operate company vehicles and trailers in accordance with company policy and insurance requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Experience creating Traffic Control Plans using Invarion or similar TCP design software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design Traffic Control Plans (TCPs) for city, county, civil construction, utility, asphalt, and paving projects.
  • Utilize traffic control design software such as Invarion to create, modify, and maintain TCPs
  • Set up, inspect, modify, and remove traffic control devices in accordance with approved plans and project requirements.
  • Monitor traffic patterns and adjust traffic control devices as needed within the approved plan parameters.
  • Perform field supervision of traffic control operations and ensure work zones remain safe and compliant.
  • Maintain work zone safety from start to finish.
  • Complete project documentation, traffic control reports, inspections, and daily records.
  • Determines traffic routing plans for job-site.
  • Jobsite set up and break down of signs, cones, etc.
  • Coordinates flagging duties on jobsite with flaggers.
  • Setting up traffic control signage, according to state & local requirements.
  • Work with construction and paving crews to ensure safe work environment.
  • Communicate with fellow crew members regarding traffic and changing job scope.
  • Traffic control with paddle signage.
