About The Position

TCS is seeking a Traffic Control Specialist to join their team. This role involves responding to calls, maintaining equipment, performing pre-job inspections, and ensuring the safe setup and management of traffic control devices on job sites. The specialist will be responsible for flagging traffic, coordinating with customers and employees, and completing necessary paperwork. Effective communication and adherence to safety guidelines are crucial for this position.

Requirements

Ability to respond to calls in a timely manner within 1 hour when on-call.
Ability to maintain all equipment in a safe and working condition.
Ability to perform pre-job inspections.
Ability to check inventory and inspect equipment needed for job.
Ability to load all required equipment into vehicle.
Ability to navigate safely to and from office to jobsites.
Ability to set up devices: cones, signs, barrels, barricades etc. on jobsites per MUTCD guidelines.
Ability to flag traffic to ensure a safe work zone for customers, employees, and the traveling public.
Ability to coordinate with customers and employees ensuring a safe, efficient, and problem-free service.
Ability to complete required paperwork, receipts, and time sheets on or before mandatory deadlines.
Ability to report all unsafe conditions to supervisor as soon as possible.
Ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal) information to customers, employees, and the traveling public.
