About The Position

This entry-level, full-time position monitors the day-to-day operations of the Transportation department at Fastenal’s distribution center at 1570 W Stearns Rd, Bartlett, IL 60103. The role supports efficient Traffic department operations through communication, recordkeeping, data entry, budget and performance metric management, safety compliance, and assistance with driver scheduling and load securing. It may also require operating a Fastenal vehicle and running truck routes, with or without a CDL, as needed.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a current, full, valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located, including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program, and meet company driving-record requirements to use a company vehicle as needed.
• Have proficient written and oral communication skills.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrate strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities.
• Be highly motivated, self-directed, and customer-service oriented.
• Be willing to work a flexible schedule.
• Demonstrate the company’s core values of ambition, innovation, integrity, and teamwork.
• Be able to lift, slide, carry, and lower packages typically weighing 25–50 lbs and potentially up to 100 lbs.
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam only).

Nice To Haves

• Possess or be in the process of obtaining a Commercial Driver's License.

Responsibilities
