Trading Intelligence Analyst - Trading Origination
About The Position
Hard Rock Digital is building an online sportsbook, casino, and social gaming company. The Trading Origination team is responsible for pricing provided by in-house models. The Trading Intelligence Analyst helps keep Traders informed by surfacing breaking news, injury updates, and other market-moving information from trustworthy sources, and by using AI and automation to deliver intelligence more quickly. The role calls for identifying reliable sources, recognizing information that may move a line, and anticipating the desk’s needs. It also offers the opportunity to develop toward becoming a Trader. The analyst monitors news and market activity, communicates time-critical updates, checks the company’s odds against competitors, and builds AI-assisted workflows using in-house tools. The role also supports data projects and research, and includes in-person team sessions as required for collaboration, training, and planning. Evening and weekend work is standard in line with the sporting calendar.
Requirements
- Strong passion for and outstanding knowledge of US team sports.
- Ability to find fast, reliable information.
- Ambition to develop into a Trader.
- Good understanding of probability and betting odds.
- Comfort with AI tools and motivation to identify more efficient ways of working.
- Comfort working with data and using tools such as Excel and SQL to analyze trends and inform decisions.
- Attention to detail and sound instincts for identifying issues that need a Trader’s attention.
- High motivation and dependability.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as standard in line with the sporting calendar.
Responsibilities
- Monitor news sources, including wire services, injury reports, beat reporters, official league feeds, and social media, for information that could move markets.
- Assess source reliability and provide Traders with fast, accurate information.
- Relay time-critical news clearly and quickly so game states and prices reflect the latest information.
- Monitor bet flow and market activity, identifying unusual patterns or opportunities for Trader attention.
- Compare company odds and markets with competitors and flag relevant discrepancies.
- Build and refine AI-assisted workflows using in-house tools to accelerate news gathering, triage, and reporting.
- Support Traders with data-related projects and ad-hoc research as required.
- Participate in in-person team sessions as required for collaboration, training, and planning.
