Trading Intelligence Analyst - Trading Origination
About The Position
Hard Rock Digital is building an online sportsbook, casino, and social gaming business. The Trading Origination team is responsible for pricing provided by in-house models. The Trading Intelligence Analyst helps keep Traders informed by finding and assessing breaking news, injury updates, and other market-moving information, then delivering it quickly using AI-assisted tools and automation. The role calls for sound judgment about which sources are trustworthy and which developments may move a line. It also offers an opportunity to develop trading skills and work toward becoming a Trader. The analyst monitors news and markets, supports Traders with data-related work and research, and builds and refines workflows that improve the speed of intelligence gathering and reporting. In-person team sessions may be required for collaboration, training, and planning. The role follows the sporting calendar and includes evening and weekend work as standard.
Requirements
- Strong passion for and outstanding knowledge of US team sports, including the ability to find fast, reliable information.
- Ambition to develop into a Trader and a good understanding of probability and betting odds.
- Comfort with AI tools and motivation to find smarter ways to do the job.
- Comfort working with data and using tools such as Excel and SQL to analyze trends and inform decisions.
- Strong attention to detail and instincts for identifying matters requiring a Trader’s attention.
- High motivation and dependability.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as standard, in line with the sporting calendar.
Responsibilities
- Monitor news sources—including wire services, injury reports, beat reporters, official league feeds, and social media—for information that could move markets.
- Assess source trustworthiness and build a record of fast, accurate intelligence that Traders can rely on.
- Relay time-critical news to Traders clearly and quickly so game states and prices reflect the latest information.
- Monitor bet flow and market activity to identify unusual patterns or opportunities requiring a Trader’s attention.
- Compare the company’s odds and markets with competitors and flag relevant discrepancies.
- Build and refine AI-assisted workflows using in-house tools to speed up news gathering, triage, and reporting.
- Support Traders with data-related projects and ad-hoc research as required.
- Participate in in-person team sessions for collaboration, training, and planning as required.
