About The Position

Johnson & Johnson MedTech is seeking a highly organized and collaborative Tradeshow Specialist to support the planning and execution of national conferences and customer-facing events for the Heart Recovery (Impella) business. You will be responsible for managing end-to-end tradeshow logistics, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external vendors, serving as on-site show lead when required, working with marketing to develop exhibit collateral, executing pre-show planning, tracking event budgets, capturing and managing leads, preparing post-event reports, and maintaining tradeshow inventory. You will also keep updated on industry trends, new tradeshow technologies, and best practices to continuously improve the attendee experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of work experience with 4 years experience delivering trade shows, corporate events, or experiential marketing programs.
  • Proven track record managing logistics, vendor relationships, and on-site show execution.
  • Strong project management skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple concurrent events.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable coordinating across cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with event software and lead capture tools (e.g., exhibitor apps, lead scanners, CRMs) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, travel frequently during event season
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel domestically / internationally as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with exhibit houses and managing booth builds.
  • Background in marketing or B2B events for [industry, e.g., healthcare, technology, manufacturing].
  • Familiarity with budget tracking and event ROI analysis.
  • Certifications in event management or project management (e.g., CMP, PMP) a plus.
  • Experience with virtual/hybrid event platforms and digital lead capture integration.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end tradeshow logistics: exhibit design coordination, shipping, drayage, on-site setup/tear-down, and post-event reconciliation.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (marketing, sales, technical teams) and external vendors (exhibit houses, AV, decorators, freight) to deliver events on schedule and within budget.
  • Serve as on-site show lead when required, supervising booth staff, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring brand standards and safety protocols are met.
  • Work with marketing to develop exhibit collateral, booth messaging, demos, and lead capture processes.
  • Execute pre-show planning: staffing schedules, attendee outreach support, exhibit floor plan approvals, shipping manifests, and floor plan logistics.
  • Track event budgets, approve vendor invoices, and produce post-event cost reconciliations and ROI analyses.
  • Capture and manage leads: ensure lead-capture systems are configured, data is collected accurately, and leads are distributed to sales or follow-up teams.
  • Prepare post-event reports including metrics (leads, meetings, demo attendees), qualitative learnings, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintain and manage tradeshow inventory: booth assets, AV equipment, promo items, and signage.
  • Keep updated on industry trends, new tradeshow technologies, and best practices to continuously improve the attendee experience.
