About The Position

As a Trades I – HVAC you will support the resort operations by performing basic HVAC tasks under the guidance of engineering and maintenance leadership. This role involves executing daily tasks and assigned HVAC projects while supporting other trades as needed. The position requires performing preventive maintenance on various HVAC components, installing or replacing HVAC parts, and effectively reading and interpreting technical data and O&M manuals. Additionally, the role participates in procurement and inventory, operates resort software, communicates professionally, and performs general maintenance and cleaning tasks. Safety is paramount, involving the safe operation of tools, working with ladders and scaffolding, and identifying potential safety hazards. The role also involves assisting in resolving guest needs and representing the resort professionally.

Requirements

  • Technical certification or HVAC license preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in trades and maintenance within a resort or commercial environment.
  • Must be detail-oriented with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must lift, move, push, or pull up to 50+ pounds
  • Ability to adapt to various tasks, perform effectively under pressure, and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Required to pass a background check, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering projects, guest calls, blitzes, and preventive maintenance as directed by resort management.
  • Execute daily tasks and assigned HVAC projects while supporting other trades as needed.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on split systems, PTAC units, condensers, and air handlers.
  • Install or replace HVAC components, such as condensers, thermostats, fan motors, and minor components.
  • Read and interpret technical data and O&M manuals effectively.
  • Participate in procurement and inventory processes to ensure adequate materials and tools are available.
  • Operate resort operations software and devices (e.g., HotSOS).
  • Communicate professionally through radios, phones, email, and verbal interactions.
  • Perform general maintenance and cleaning tasks as assigned by resort management.
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and battery-powered tools required for HVAC repair and maintenance.
  • Work safely using ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and in confined or narrow spaces, following all safety procedures.
  • Identify and report potential safety hazards on the property.
  • Assist in interpreting and resolving guest needs through positive and professional interactions.
  • Represent the resort professionally in appearance, attire, and behavior at all times.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by resort operations leadership.
