About The Position
A highly respected national law firm is seeking a Trademark Associate Attorney to join its Minneapolis office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing sophisticated clients in trademark, copyright, advertising, and brand protection matters.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of intellectual property experience gained at a sophisticated law firm
- Experience handling domestic and international trademark clearance, prosecution, maintenance, and portfolio management
- Experience preparing and prosecuting trademark applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
- Experience conducting trademark searches and providing clearance analyses and risk assessments
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work directly with clients and develop strategic brand protection solutions
- Excellent academic credentials
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
- Minnesota bar admission required or ability to become admitted
Nice To Haves
- Experience advising clients regarding copyright, advertising, marketing, and brand protection issues is preferred
- Experience managing global trademark portfolios and coordinating foreign trademark filings is a plus
- Experience handling trademark enforcement matters, TTAB proceedings, domain name disputes, and online brand protection issues is desirable
Responsibilities
- Representing sophisticated clients in trademark, copyright, advertising, and brand protection matters.
