The Trade Foreperson directs employees and crews, interprets drawings and specifications, and instructs skilled mechanics to ensure work meets requirements. The role includes understanding and enforcing the jobsite safety plan, conducting safety training, and ensuring assigned work meets or exceeds standards. The foreperson plans work, prepares and submits timesheets and safety, quality and quantity reports, takes responsibility for the crew, motivates employees, and supports their immediate supervisor as needed.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of industrial construction or maintenance industry experience.

Nice To Haves

• NCCER Certified Plus certification.
• Supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct employees and crew.
• Take responsibility and accountability for the crew.
• Read blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work, including work location and the quantities and sizes of required materials.
• Review and interpret drawings and specifications; instruct skilled mechanics so work meets requirements.
• Understand and enforce the jobsite safety plan and safe practices, and conduct safety training.
• Ensure assigned work meets or exceeds standards.
• Prepare and submit timesheets, safety reports, quality and quantity reports, and other required reports.
• Plan work, motivate employees, and support the immediate supervisor as needed.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required.
