About The Position

The Trade Foreperson directs employees and crew, interprets drawings and specifications, and instructs skilled mechanics to ensure work meets requirements and standards. The role includes familiarity with the jobsite safety plan, enforcing safe practices, conducting safety training, planning work, and taking responsibility and accountability for the crew. The Foreperson also prepares and submits timesheets and safety, quality, quantity, and other required reports; motivates employees; and supports the immediate supervisor as needed.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience in the industrial construction or maintenance industry.

Nice To Haves

• NCCER Certified Plus.
• Supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct employees and crew.
• Take responsibility and accountability for the crew.
• Read blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work, including work location and the quantities and sizes of required materials.
• Review and interpret drawings and specifications; instruct skilled mechanics so work meets requirements.
• Know the jobsite safety plan, enforce safe practices, and conduct safety training.
• Ensure assigned work meets or exceeds standards and plan the work.
• Prepare and submit timesheets, safety reports, quality and quantity reports, and other required reports.
• Motivate employees and support the immediate supervisor as needed.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required.
