About The Position

The Off-Premise Trade Development Representative is responsible for driving brand visibility, distribution, and merchandising excellence within          assigned off-premise retail accounts. This role focuses on executing high-impact display enhancements, maintaining best-in-class shelf sets, ensuring    perfect distribution of core SKUs, and securing key visibility placements. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a field-based role,           independently manages their schedule, and consistently delivers strong in-store execution.

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent work experience/training/education preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in beverage alcohol, CPG, or retail sales (spirits experience preferred)
  • Strong understanding of off-premise retail execution and merchandising best practices
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable selling, negotiating, and executing at the store level
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed for samplings and key retail activity
  • Ability to travel within assigned territory
  • Valid Driver’s License and registration
  • Rhode Island State license to sell liquor necessary & TIPS Certification

Responsibilities

  • Sell in, build, and maintain incremental display enhancements and secondary placements
  • Execute and protect approved shelf sets that align with brand standards and retailer schematics
  • Drive “perfect distribution” by ensuring authorized SKUs are on shelf, in stock, and properly merchandised
  • Identify and secure key visibility opportunities such as endcaps, stackers, and high-traffic placements.
  • Work from an assigned account list to prioritize high-impact retail opportunities
  • Build strong relationships with store managers, department managers, and key retail decision-makers
  • Partner with distributor sales teams to align on priorities and execution goals
  • Monitor competitive activity and provide feedback on market trends.
  • Plan, schedule, and host in-store tastings and samplings in compliance with state and local regulations
  • Act as a brand ambassador, delivering engaging and educational consumer experiences
  • Ensure all sampling materials, permits, and reporting are completed accurately
  • Independently manage weekly and monthly schedules to maximize productivity and coverage
  • Track activity, displays, shelf sets, and sampling results through required reporting tools
  • Provide regular updates on wins, challenges, and opportunities within the market.
