About The Position

Aalis Management Consulting is seeking a Trade Data Analyst to support a federal agency's monitoring and enforcement functions. This role involves providing trade and other data analysis, with a focus on imports, exports, investment, production, prices, and corporate data. The analyst will support trade enforcement and enforcement-related negotiations across various sectors, product categories, regions, countries, companies, and corporate groupings. The position requires the ability to perform both quantitative and qualitative analyses, research, identify, prepare reports, organize, and analyze applicable global trade data, and assist in litigation. The role demands close attention to detail and the ability to work quickly under deadlines.

Requirements

• Experienced and demonstrate the ability to use advanced data analytics tools.
• Perform 50% quantitative and 50% qualitative analyses.
• Bachelor's degree in economics, political science, finance, international relations, data science, or related field.
• Research, identify, prepare reports, organize, and analyze applicable global trade (including harmonized tariff system data) and other data.
• Leverage procured data sources and subscriptions in support of the Agency.
• Close attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work quickly and under deadlines.
• Extensive and advanced knowledge of Excel.
• Knowledge of programming languages, such as Stata or Python, or visualization software, such as Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Provide trade and other data analysis, with a focus on imports, exports, investment, production, prices, and corporate data.
• Support trade enforcement and enforcement-related negotiations across sectors, product categories, regions, countries, companies, and corporate groupings.
• Perform data identification and analysis.
• Conduct electronic and manual research for identified subject matter.
• Draft memoranda and reports summarizing and/or analyzing research results.
• Assist in litigation.
• Fact and citation check.
• Prepare evidence.
