About The Position

Deliver strives to deliver an exceptional customer experience through leading critical customer-facing-functions such as customer service, distribution and transportation. In addition, Deliver oversees critical business enablers, including how we gather and manage supply chain master data, safe and secure supply chain practices, product identification standards, and market/channel access capabilities. It supports both sectors of Johnson & Johnson: Medical Devices (including Vision) and, Innovative Medicine. Requirements

  • Minimum of Bachelor's or equivalent university degree required.
  • Minimum four (6) years of relevant Trade Compliance or Import / Export Logistics work experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to build new relationships that drive cross-functional process improvements.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner to functional leaders in upper management and external partners.
  • Proven track record of success in delivering on objectives.
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and ability to adopt learning regulatory requirements to successfully work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); VLOOKUPS and pivot tables preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Licensed Customs Broker and/or Certified Customs Specialist preferred.
  • Experience supporting or leading projects preferred.
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed global organization preferred.
  • Power BI or equivalent data visualization tools or applications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Deliver North America Regional Transportation Organization and Johnson & Johnson importing and exporting companies.
  • Provide advice and training to business partners on logistics processes and procedures that comply with US Customs and Border Protection, FDA, USDA, and other regulatory compliance agencies’ governing the clearance of import and export shipments.
  • Respond to requests for information from US Customs, FDA and other government agencies.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert supporting supply chain and other projects across OpCos.
  • Identify and implement Trade Compliance opportunities to participate in duty savings opportunities to include duty drawback and free trade agreements.
  • Collaborate with Operating Company business partners to review Global Trade Compliance assessments, develop training and compliance improvement plan goals.
  • Implement changes to migrate new and existing US J&J companies into Regional Trade Compliance program.
  • Develop Quarterly Trade Compliance reviews by company/sector and deliver to key partners and report clearance performance and develop strategies to reduce risk of supply chain delays.
