  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with ERP/TMS and trade compliance systems (screening/AES tools) preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, documentation discipline, and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Ensure compliance with applicable import/export laws and regulations (e.g., EAR/ITAR as applicable, OFAC sanctions, U.S. Customs regulations, and applicable international requirements) and maintain required records.
  • Classify products for customs and export control purposes (HTS, ECCN), determine country of origin, and support valuation and recordkeeping requirements.
  • Conduct restricted party screening and review transactions for end-use/end-user concerns, embargoed destinations, and license/authorization requirements; escalate potential compliance risks as needed.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain trade and shipping documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, AES filings/EEI, broker/forwarder instructions, and other required documents).
  • Partner with customs brokers and freight forwarders to ensure accurate entries, timely clearance, compliant routing, and resolution of holds, exams, or discrepancies.
  • Monitor shipments in transit, manage delivery performance (e.g., OTIF), investigate service failures, and drive corrective actions with carriers/partners to reduce delays and repeat issues.
  • Support freight cost controls (rate validation, accrual support, invoice discrepancy resolution) and identify opportunities for service and cost optimization while maintaining compliance.
  • Maintain and improve logistics and trade compliance procedures, work instructions, and training materials; provide guidance to internal teams on Incoterms, documentation, lead times, and compliant shipment structure.
