About The Position

The L3Harris Trade Compliance department is an important piece of the international business segment. As a part of the team, candidates will be consistently working with L3Harris Sales and Program Management personnel to provide guidance related to the imports and exports of U.S. State Department and U.S. Commerce Department controlled goods. Candidates must be able to work effectively with a cross-functional team to effectively keep L3Harris in compliance with the regulations while also helping to foster international growth within the business. Professional with prior knowledge of EAR regulations and broad knowledge of project management. Manages projects or processes with general oversight. Communicates within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures. Contributes to achievement of departmental goals and operating plans with direct impact on the departmental results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 4 years prior experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 8 years prior experience or Graduate Degree with 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Prior knowledge of EAR regulations
  • Broad knowledge of project management
  • Ability to work effectively with a cross-functional team
  • Ability to communicate within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures

  • Adept with utilizing computer software applications, e.g. Adobe, Web-based applications, MS Excel, MS Word.
  • Awareness/experience with U.S. trade regulations (ITAR and EAR).
  • Willingness to travel if required.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the execution of divisional compliance policies (e.g. visitor processing, foreign travel, and restricted parties screening) in accordance with U.S. trade regulations (EAR)
  • Provide regular and ad hoc Trade Compliance training and guidance for internal stakeholders to increase the organization’s awareness of Trade Compliance policies, procedures and applicable laws related to trade, exports and import compliance
  • Working knowledge of Agile, EASE, and SAP for export approvals and record retention
  • Responsible for managing U.S. Department of Commerce and Trade Compliance recordkeeping requirements
  • Responsible for reviewing export documentation and interfacing with freight forwarders on behalf of L3Harris
  • Assist with trade compliance investigations, risk mitigation, audits and self-assessments
