About The Position

The aim of a Trade Compliance Coordinator is to ensure accurate trade compliance and maximize free‑trade benefits by validating supplier data, verifying Bills of Materials (BOMs), and supporting customers with Free Trade Agreement (FTA) documentation, while minimizing regulatory, financial, and audit risk.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end Temporary Import Bond (TIB) compliance processes for inbound, in-transit, inventory, scrap, and export activities.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers, carriers, warehouses, and internal stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance and timely execution.
  • Create, maintain, and verify TIB entry records, including SAP transactions, documentation accuracy, and audit readiness.
  • Review and reconcile TIB entry numbers, material movements, shipment records, and inventory data.
  • Generate barcode labels, maintain material traceability, and ensure proper labeling throughout the material lifecycle.
  • Monitor inventory, stockroom operations, production consumption, scrap generation, and shipment activities to support TIB closure requirements.
  • Manage shipment documentation, including TIB Bills of Lading, CBP forms, export records, and proof-of-export requirements.
  • Coordinate with transportation providers to obtain required customs documentation and resolve discrepancies.
  • Track TIB expiration dates, extensions, and closure activities to prevent penalties and compliance violations.
  • Perform data analysis using SAP and Excel to identify qualifying materials, shipment groupings, inventory variances, and compliance risks.
  • Conduct routine audits of inventory, scrap, material labeling, and documentation accuracy.
  • Establish and maintain process controls, standard operating procedures, and compliance metrics.
  • Manage carrier, broker, warehouse, and transportation service provider performance against established service levels.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce compliance risk, improve material visibility, and optimize operational efficiency.
  • Develop contingency plans and escalation procedures for transportation, customs, and operational disruptions.
  • Provide operational leadership, training, and cross-functional coordination to support TIB program execution across all shifts.
  • Maintain records necessary to support customs audits, regulatory reporting, and financial compliance requirements.
  • Mitigate financial risk associated with TIB penalties, duty exposure, inventory loss, documentation errors, and missed export requirements.
