About The Position
Advanced Sentry LLC is seeking a Trade Compliance Analyst to support a global technology client's trade compliance operations. This remote contract role is suited to a junior-to-mid-level professional with 4–5 years of import and export compliance experience who is detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced global environment. The analyst supports daily compliance operations, trade data analysis, documentation review, and reporting related to international shipments and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- 4–5 years of experience in trade compliance, import/export, supply chain, or international business.
- Strong understanding of U.S. export regulations, including EAR, OFAC, and CBP.
- Ability to perform HTS and ECCN classification.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace or similar collaboration tools.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with freight forwarders or customs brokers.
- Familiarity with Incoterms and international shipping processes.
- Experience with Oracle, GTM, or other ERP systems.
- Experience with process improvement or automation initiatives.
- Experience supporting trade compliance programs within a technology company.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support daily import and export compliance operations.
- Review international shipping documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Assist with HTS and ECCN classification for products and shipments.
- Support Oracle / Global Trade Management (GTM) system activities.
- Analyze trade data and develop metrics and compliance reports.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers regarding shipment documentation.
- Monitor regulatory updates and compliance requirements affecting global trade.
- Assist with process documentation, workflow improvements, and automation initiatives.
- Maintain compliance records and documentation.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across multiple teams and regions.
