Supports U.S. import and trade compliance activities, which may include Classification, Post-Entry, Audits, Reconciliation, Drawback, and Customs Bonds. Reviews and analyzes import entries, commercial documentation, and transaction data for compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) requirements. Applies the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), CBP regulations, rulings, and other applicable trade requirements. Performs assigned activities such as product classification, post-entry filings, customs audits, reconciliation, drawback claims, bond management, and risk assessments. Identifies and researches discrepancies, compliance risks, and opportunities for duty savings and process improvements. Determines applicable Other Government Agency (OGA) requirements, as applicable. Gathers, analyzes, and summarizes import and customs data and prepares reports for clients and management. Maintains accurate records and documentation and supports responses to CBP inquiries and audits. Advises and communicates with clients, customs brokers, internal stakeholders, and government officials regarding trade compliance matters. Provides guidance and training on customs regulations and compliance requirements. Travels up to 10%.
