About The Position

JP Mascaro & Sons, a growing private family-owned company, is seeking reliable, motivated, and hardworking Class A CDL Drivers for its Lehigh Valley Division in Allentown, PA. This role is critical to the company's success in safely and responsibly removing communities’ trash and recycling. The company emphasizes a family-like environment and has been experiencing record growth since its founding in 1964 with one truck. Certain medical conditions, such as seizure disorders and certain sleep disorders like Narcolepsy, may preclude individuals from safely performing this role. Requirements

  • A valid PA Commercial Driver’s License CDL Class A
  • Must meet all required DOT physical and medical requirements and pass a substance abuse screening.
  • Ability to effectively deal with customers and co-workers.
  • Requires a high degree of attention and considerable dexterity in the control of the vehicle to prevent damage to truck, equipment, or surrounding items.
  • Ability to sit in the cab of the truck for long periods.
  • Able to bend, stoop, and climb into and out of the vehicle and body unassisted multiple times a day.
  • Ability to work outside in all types of weather.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a tractor trailer in accordance with DOT Regulations, Company policy, and established standards for excellent customer service on established daily route sheets, special orders, and regular work orders.
  • Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the tractor and tanker.
  • Transport and offload leachate at a regulated wastewater treatment plants.
  • Coordinate regularly with the Operations Manager to ensure all loads are completed and communicate any questionable materials and special instructions.
  • Obtain load weight tickets and sign for loads, maintaining any related records required, such as driver’s log, route sheets, work orders, and special request work.
  • Clean truck daily to ensure the vehicle meets company expectations, including the cab.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections as outlined in the pre and post trip vehicle condition report.
  • Report any maintenance issues on the vehicle condition report and immediately to the route supervisor or operations manager.
  • Immediately report any accident, traffic violation, or license suspension to the company.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or described in the job description for this role.
