Requirements
- Must be minimum of 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be knowledgeable of the Rules of Racing.
- Able to work at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environment
- Excellent customer service/communication skills
- Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy.
- Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to read and communicate verbally in English.
- Written communication skills in English may also be required.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
Nice To Haves
- Ability to speak and understand Spanish is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Promotes safety for personnel, guests and horses at the Zia Park Racetrack by performing the following duties:
- Will be required to operate tractor and/or water truck on the racetrack.
- Maintain racing track in proper condition as required.
- May use other equipment as required.
- Notify supervisor immediately of any problems/crisis/emergency.
- Maintain cleanliness of facilities as needed.
- Ensure that all safety equipment is in operating order.
- All work to be performed taking appropriate safety precautions.
- Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
- Follow all cleaning, sanitation and PPE position specific guidelines
