About The Position

As a Track Inspector at Railserve, you will be responsible for assisting with track inspections and job site management. You will work closely with Operations personnel to ensure services meet customer requirements and schedules, assist in resolving customer service issues, and inspect customer facilities for defects needing repair, providing reports to Estimators for bidding purposes. This role maintains quality service by following organization standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • Ability to build and develop positive working relationships with customers and vendors.
  • Proficient with computer software to conduct daily business activities (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Superior communication skills: Must be comfortable engaging in a variety of different communicative modes (verbal, non-verbal, and written) and being attuned to others through strong active listening skills.
  • Strong teamwork, initiative, resilience, and tact required.
  • Must be comfortable making decisions with a strong focus on safety and quality.
  • Strong working knowledge of one’s field or discipline in which they find themselves engaged on a daily basis.
  • Becoming fully aware to Build Relationships between individuals and within one’s division.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Individual must have the ability to travel as required.
  • Valid Driver’s License in good standing required.

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5 years’ experience in construction preferred.
  • project management, including experience analyzing project costs and information, setting project budgets, and estimating costs preferred.
  • 2 years’ construction field experience preferred.

Responsibilities
