About The Position

Automated Logistics Systems (ALS), a family-owned third-party logistics provider, is hiring a Weekend Track and Trace Specialist. The role monitors shipments, maintains accurate tracking information, communicates updates, and resolves transportation issues to help freight move efficiently from origin to destination. It is a key contact for Account Managers seeking shipment-status information and requires strong communication, attention to detail, and responsiveness to changing priorities. The position works weekend and overnight hours to maintain service continuity, protect customer relationships, and minimize transportation disruptions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, troubleshoot issues, and work independently during overnight hours.
• Dependable, team-oriented attitude with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in transportation, logistics, shipping, or trucking.
• Familiarity with shipment tracking systems and transportation documentation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor freight from origin to destination and maintain accurate, real-time tracking updates.
• Coordinate proactively with carriers and transportation partners to address delays and shipment issues.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for Account Managers regarding shipment status and provide timely, accurate updates.
• Address concerns proactively to maintain a positive customer experience.
• Identify and prioritize shipment exceptions, coordinate resolution with carriers and internal teams, and escalate critical concerns.
• Maintain clear communication with stakeholders while resolving shipment issues.
• Ensure shipment information and required documentation—including bills of lading, invoices, and customs paperwork—are accurate, complete, and maintained according to company policies and applicable regulations.
• Collaborate with teammates to manage workloads, provide support and training when needed, and contribute to continuous improvement.
