About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) with a strong background in e-commerce, specifically with Shopify, to lead large, cross-organizational programs. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex distributed projects on cloud and Microservices, acting as a Senior Scrum Master in the e-commerce or retail industry. This role requires a strong technical understanding of e-commerce platforms, web development, APIs, databases, and cloud implementations, coupled with proficiency in Agile methodologies and project management tools.

Requirements

10+ years of hands-on Program Management experience leading large, cross-organizational programs.
7+ years of experience in managing complex distributed projects on cloud and Microservices.
Proven experience as a Senior Scrum Master in the e-commerce or retail industry.
Strong technical background with knowledge of e-commerce platforms, web development, APIs, databases, and related technologies.
Proficiency in project management methodologies including SAFe, Agile, Scrum, and Kanban.
Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Jira Align, Asana, and Trello.
Understanding of Engineering Processes and Cloud Implementations.
Experience assisting teams with cloud implementations.
Good understanding of Jira, Sprint functions/ceremonies, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
Detail-oriented approach to understanding team activities and technical processes.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Overall 10+ years of experience in software industries.
Mandatory Shopify experience.

Nice To Haves

PMP certification.
PRINCE2 certification.

Responsibilities

Build the basic structure of a program including prioritization alignment, team engagement, governance, and identifying partners.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, QA engineers, and stakeholders, to ensure project alignment with business objectives.
Integrate timelines and milestones across projects, identify areas of alignment or dependency, and evaluate progress to keep projects on track.
Anticipate and recognize bottlenecks in work processes between teams and suggest ongoing improvements.
Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively address issues, and provide solutions to ensure smooth project execution.
Communicate project status, updates, and key milestones to stakeholders and leadership regularly.
Run agile ceremonies as a scrum master and manage the development process in conjunction with internal partners.
Lead and manage end-to-end project lifecycle for the e-commerce platform, including planning, development, testing, and deployment phases.
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables; develop comprehensive project plans and timelines; and track project progress against milestones.
Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in e-commerce to drive innovation.
Foster a collaborative and results-driven team environment, providing guidance and mentorship to team members.
Oversee overall program delivery, governance, execution, and stakeholder alignment.
Manage program plans, timelines, and dependencies across stakeholders including IT, business, and vendors.
Prepare status reports and run governance meetings including daily, weekly, and Steering Committee sessions.
Coordinate SIT, UAT, deployment, and cutover activities.
Ensure alignment across Integrated Systems and Warehouse Management System (WMS) tracks.
Maintain program plans, roadmaps, and RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies).
