The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a Toxicologist , you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Conducting and communicating human health risk assessments on a broad range of 3M products, taking into consideration identified hazards and exposure according to the intended product use. This includes assessing scientific literature, evaluating the toxicological database, determining appropriate toxicological and other safety endpoints, conducting exposure assessments, and providing written documentation. Authoring chemical hazard summaries for inclusion in 3M databases, advocating for alternative chemical selection where possible, and supporting chemicals management. Recommending and coordinating appropriate toxicology study placements with third-party contract research organizations. Actively evaluate emerging scientific methods, tools, and regulatory developments, and contribute ideas that improve the efficiency, quality, and scientific robustness of toxicological assessments. Serving as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and collaborating with project teams to support 3 M’s business priorities. Demonstrating a personal commitment to maintaining and enhancing technical and professional skills.
