This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. As a Toxicologist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by conducting and communicating human health risk assessments on a broad range of 3M products, taking into consideration identified hazards and exposure according to the intended product use. This includes assessing scientific literature, evaluating the toxicological database, determining appropriate toxicological and other safety endpoints, conducting exposure assessments, and providing written documentation. You will also author chemical hazard summaries for inclusion in 3M databases, advocate for alternative chemical selection where possible, and support chemicals management. Additionally, you will recommend and coordinate appropriate toxicology study placements with third-party contract research organizations, actively evaluate emerging scientific methods, tools, and regulatory developments, and contribute ideas that improve the efficiency, quality, and scientific robustness of toxicological assessments. You will serve as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and collaborate with project teams to support 3M’s business priorities, while demonstrating a personal commitment to maintaining and enhancing technical and professional skills.
