About The Position

Kean Miller is seeking an experienced Litigation Defense Attorney in its Baton Rouge office. The firm serves as legal counsel to businesses in Louisiana and Texas, focusing on efficient legal services and practical advice. This role involves handling all phases of asbestos and exposure-related litigation, including case evaluation, discovery management, expert development, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation. Experience working with corporate clients, insurers, and national coordinating counsel is essential.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years’ defense experience in asbestos or toxic-tort litigation
• Experience representing corporate defendants in occupational-exposure matters, including asbestos, chemical exposure, and product-liability claims
• Strong litigation background with experience in complex, multi-party and multi-district cases
• Minimum of seven (7) years of litigation experience with a primary focus on asbestos litigation, toxic-tort defense, products liability, and industrial operations litigation
