About The Position
The Town of Enfield is seeking an accomplished municipal executive to lead its full-service local government. The Town Manager will be responsible for administering municipal operations, implementing Council policy, and providing executive leadership. This role requires building strong relationships with elected officials, employees, residents, and community partners, and guiding the community through transformational redevelopment. Enfield, Connecticut is a vibrant community located in Hartford County, offering a blend of New England history and forward-looking growth, with a strategic location between Hartford and Springfield.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university, with a major field of study in public administration or government.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in public administration.
- Ten (10) or more years of progressively responsible experience in municipal government or a related public-sector organization.
- Senior-level executive leadership experience such as Town/City Manager, Assistant Manager, Deputy Manager, or Department Director.
- Valid Connecticut driver’s license or ability to obtain and maintain one.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with municipal finance, long-range budgeting, and capital planning.
- Experience leading economic development and redevelopment initiatives.
- Experience with collective bargaining, labor relations, and personnel administration.
- ICMA Credentialed Manager (ICMA-CM) or other advanced professional credentials.
- Familiarity with tax increment financing (TIF) and abatements.

Benefits
- Salary range of $200,000 - $225,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
