Tower Technician
About The Position
One Way Wireless Construction (OWWC) is seeking Tower Technicians to join their team. OWWC provides paid training for new hires before they are deployed to the field. This role is ideal for individuals comfortable working at heights and willing to travel throughout the week. The position involves climbing towers from 50 to 700 feet to install, repair, or upgrade wireless equipment, rigging ropes, mounting antennas and radios, and running fiber and RF jumpers. Technicians will follow site-specific build plans and carrier standards, document work with photos, and maintain clean and safe job sites. Clear communication with the crew and support for newer team members are essential. The work schedule is Monday-Friday, with potential travel throughout the Midwest.
Requirements
- Comfortable at heights.
- Able to travel throughout the week.
- Reliable, respectful, and safety-conscious.
- Willing to work outdoors in all kinds of weather.
- Physically capable of the work.
- Do not mind travel and can be away from home during the week.
- Experience with basic hand tools.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Able to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and background check.
- Able to report to our Basehor, KS office.
Responsibilities
- Climbing towers ranging from 50 to 700 feet to install, repair, or upgrade wireless equipment.
- Rigging ropes, mounting antennas, radios, and running fiber and RF jumpers.
- Following site-specific build plans and carrier standards.
- Documenting your work with photos and helping keep job sites clean and safe.
- Communicating clearly with your crew and supporting newer team members when needed.
- Working Monday–Friday, with possible travel throughout the Midwest.

- Hourly pay: $22–$35/hr, based on experience and qualifications.
- Overtime pay (1.5x) for any hours over 40/week.
- $175 per diem/night (when traveling 60+ miles from our shop).
