About The Position

Alamon, Inc., a Montana-based employee-owned company since 1975, provides installation services to the utilities, energy, and communications industries nationwide. There is no ceiling when it comes to your professional growth at Alamon, an employee – owned company. Alamon, Inc. seeks a Tower Technician Level 1 for its Wireless Service department. This position entails: assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of wireless communication infrastructure on cell phone towers, rooftops, and other elevated structures. This is an entry-level position. This position requires an active NWSA (National Wireless Safety Alliance) certification and the ability to travel.

Requirements

  • Must pass the pre-employment screening process which includes a background check, drug test and motor vehicle records pull.
  • Have the ability and mentality to work outdoors, in a physically demanding work environment and all-weather conditions, lifting or moving up to 50lbs., and hiking over various terrain.
  • Possess a current and valid driver’s license and a clean driving record with no DUI / DWIs within the past 5 years.
  • Be available to work nights and weekends as required by project demands.
  • Willing to travel locally, statewide, or regionally as required.
  • Active NWSA (National Wireless Safety Alliance) certification.
  • Trade school or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrate abilities to successfully complete job tasks while accepting full responsibility for the safe operations and maintenance of the vehicle, equipment, and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation, assembly and maintenance of wireless communication equipment including antennas, cables, and related components.
  • Safely handle and transport tools, materials, and equipment to and from the worksite.
  • Assist with the setup and operation of rigging, winches, and hoisting equipment.
  • Learn and adhere to safety protocols and guidelines set forth by the company and government regulations.
  • Assist in routine maintenance checks, inspections and troubleshooting to identify any potential issues.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Assist in cleaning, organizing and maintenance of tools to ensure they are in proper working condition.
  • Report damages and malfunctioning tools and equipment for repair and replacement.
  • Adhere to industry standards, regulations, and safety procedures per government and company regulations.
  • Work as part of a crew and communicate effectively with other team members to ensure smooth operation.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices.
  • Perform other job-duties as assigned.
