The Tower Foreman is responsible for ensuring safety is always prioritized and adhered to, including 100% tie-off, proper methods and procedures, rigging, and daily JHAs. This role involves safely and efficiently completing modifications, repairs, and upgrades of wireless equipment and antennas at elevated heights. As a Foreman, you will work in a team environment assisting with projects, which may include new builds, site modifications, water tanks, rooftops, or similar industry projects. You will be responsible for leading, supervising, and mentoring a team of up to 6 members. Detailed daily reporting to the PM/CM and submitting daily timesheets for the crew(s) are also key responsibilities. The role requires a thorough understanding and strict adherence to applicable governing body safety regulations (ASME/OSHA/ANSI/Etc...), Thayer Power & Communication's Safety Policies and Practices, and customer specifications. The Foreman must read customer drawings, RFDS, and structural documents to execute the scope of work. They will work with the Project Manager and Construction Manager to meet schedules and budgets, perform lead responsibilities effectively, interface with all levels of management, staff, and customers, and provide real-time updates, troubleshoot, and problem-solve. This role also includes picking up/delivering supplies, tools, equipment, and components, reviewing and/or creating Bill of Materials (BOMs), maintaining a clean and orderly environment, climbing to elevated heights, observing project sites for defects and safety hazards, performing PIM, Sweep, & Fiber testing, and attending vendor and in-house training. The ability and willingness to train team members is essential, along with performing other duties as assigned.
