About The Position

As our Microwave Tower Foreman, you will be the field leader running our deployment teams, guiding daily safety, technical execution, and client satisfaction. This role involves leading daily tailgate safety meetings, enforcing safety standards, and mentoring junior Tower Techs. You will oversee and assist with the rigging, hoisting, and mounting of heavy microwave dishes, radomes, waveguides, outdoor units (ODUs), and indoor units (IDUs). A key responsibility is leading the pathing process to align dishes precisely with far-end sites, optimizing Received Signal Level (RSL) values to match strict engineering specifications. Additionally, you will conduct line sweeps, PIM testing, and use specialized test gear to verify link integrity, and capture and compile closeout packages for the Project Manager.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 to 5+ years of active tower climbing experience.
  • At least 1 to 2 years specifically focused on installing and pathing microwave systems.
  • Valid Competent Climber/Tower Rescue certification.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • Deep understanding of RF math, line sweep testing, microwave path alignment procedures, and waveguide connectors/termination.
  • Knowledge of Aviat systems is required.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record is mandatory.
  • Must be willing and able to work weekends when critical network cutovers, tight client deadlines, or weather delays demand it.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a Foreman or Co-Lead is highly preferred.
  • DOT medical card or CDL is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily tailgate safety meetings (JSA/JHA).
  • Enforce strict 100% fall-protection compliance, OSHA/NATE standards, and actively train and mentor junior Tower Techs.
  • Oversee and assist with the rigging, hoisting, and mounting of heavy microwave dishes (ranging from 2ft to 10ft+), radomes, waveguides, outdoor units (ODUs), and indoor units (IDUs).
  • Lead the pathing process to align dishes precisely with far-end sites, optimizing Received Signal Level (RSL) values to match strict engineering specifications.
  • Conduct line sweeps, PIM testing, and use specialized test gear (like Anritsu or similar pathing software) to verify link integrity.
  • Capture and compile flawless closeout packages (high-quality photos, configuration logs, sweep data) for the Project Manager.
