About The Position

Clark Builders is hiring Tower Crane Operators to work on the Red Deer Regional Hospital! This role will be responsible for the safe operation of the tower crane and will move machinery, materials, formwork and other large objects.

Requirements

• Must be a registered apprentice, a certified journeyperson, or hold a valid recognized credential.
• Luffer experience required.
• Capable decision maker, prepared to work independently when necessary.
• Coordination and manual dexterity
• The ability to work at heights
• Good vision

Responsibilities

• Operate tower cranes to lift, move, position or place equipment and materials
• Performs pre-operational inspections, safety checks, test lifts and load chart calculations
• Perform routine inspection and maintenance as required
• Communicates with site leadership to determine the best placement of crane for planned lifts
• Ensure that all rigging operations are carried out in a safe manner.
• Service the hoist and swing equipment used to move machinery, materials and other large objects.
• Assist with the crane assembly onsite.
• Abide by OH&S regulations.
• Review safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure safety tickets are up to date.
• Represent Clark Builders in a professional and respectful manner.
• Adhere to Clark Builders policies and procedures.
