About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Tower Coordinator - 2nd shift. The primary function of the Tower Operator is to service production needs by cycling material and maintaining part storage rack organization.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D from an accredited institution
  • Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • High level knowledge in shipment tracking systems (LTL, Parcel, Transplace)
  • Require strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong persuasive skills with Driver interaction on delayed shipments
  • Must be able to drive and operate heavy equipment to include 35K rated PIV
  • Expert skills in loading Flatbed, Conestoga and Dry Van including crane, side loading and nose to rear weight distribution and tarping
  • Able to lift 35 pounds – waist, shoulder, overhead
  • Ability to climb ladders
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain forklift certification
  • Computer skills – AS400, Microsoft Office, Internet, etc.
  • Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision
  • Proven history of safe work habits
  • Must be able to work overtime – weekdays and weekends

Nice To Haves

  • Fork Truck Certified with 3 or more years of experience
  • Previous experience with AS400 and vista
  • Previous Shipping experience

Responsibilities

  • Be Responsible for correctly shipping: quantity, part number and purchase order according to packing list and/or 5501.
  • Maintain 90% LTL Compliance and adherence to all other ES Americas cost-saving initiatives
  • Interface between various departments within the plant environment to resolve shipping and delivery issues
  • Interface with customers, suppliers and transportation providers as required
  • Work within a Windows-based systems environment to include use AS400 and Vista applications
  • Prepare items for shipment, wrapping, tarping, posting weights and accurate shipping details
  • Coordinate required emergency shipments and requests
  • Support End of Month extended hours
