Supervises hourly associates to ensure their practices comply with company policies and procedures. Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
  • Candidates must be able to communicate in English, read and follow recipes, and complete basic mathematical calculations for recipe conversions.
  • 3-5 years of culinary experiences in a similar role; preferably in a high volume, luxury hotel/restaurant, scratch-cooking environment.
  • Candidate must exhibit extensive sanitation and culinary knowledge, accurate knife skills, and the ability to lead and motivate staff.
  • Requires the ability to work organized and within a team environment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, be a logical thinker, remains calm and resolves problems using good judgment.
  • Must possess the ability to prioritize, organize and follow through to meet deadlines.
  • Must be available for all shifts.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards always required for this position.
  • Requires a valid Health Card.

Nice To Haves

  • Second Language is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in ordering and keeping inventory of products.
  • Maintains product cost and labor cost according to budget.
  • Supervises and trains hourly staff to ensure policy and procedures are implemented.
  • Maintains consistent, efficient service during peak hours.
  • Follows principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment.
  • Assists the Chef as needed in execution of production.
  • Assists the Chef with event set up and breakdown requirements: All necessary prep, Chef's Table sets and decor, event execution, event breakdown; product labeling, storage, and disposal.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
