About The Position

The Dual Rate Poker Supervisor implements and ensures compliance with approved procedures, trains, supervises, and monitors the performance of Team Members to ensure smooth and efficient gaming during their shift. This role is responsible for the protection of the Horseshoe’s assets within assigned areas.

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid Non-Key LA Gaming License.
  • Must be able to obtain Responsible Vendor Certification.
  • Game knowledge/experience of at least two Pit Games required.
  • Must be able to maneuver in between Poker tables.
  • Must be able to reach, pull, bend, crouch, and kneel around Poker tables and Poker bank.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
  • Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of a Casino Credit system is beneficial.
  • Previous experience in a leadership position preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Safeguard casino assets.
  • Implement and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and gaming regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise the operation of an assigned number of tables and dealers.
  • Responsible for the training and equitable treatment of all Table Games personnel.
  • Ensure fills/credits are handled according to policy.
  • Promote outstanding guest relations.
  • Assist in answering questions or resolving disputes.
  • Create an atmosphere of fun for all casino guests.
  • Encourage mutual respect, dignity, and integrity with all associates by setting a positive example at all times.
  • Instill an atmosphere that encourages associates to share ideas, discuss concerns, and resolve disputes.
  • Retain associates through personal involvement in associate training and development.
  • Support and maintain Horseshoe courtesy guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Directly supervise an assigned number of dealers.
  • Signatory ability includes orders for fills and credits, fills and credits slips, key control, markers, and customer balance records, table inventory forms, and complimentary rooms, food and beverage.
