Requirements

• One year of experience in work involving public contact or an equivalent combination of experience and training
• Willingness and ability to work in and commute to the Pike County PennDOT Welcome Center: I-84, Exit 53, Matamoras
• Ability to be "on call" between 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, seven days a week (current hours are 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM)
• Ability to report to work within 1-hour of being called in
• Front facing public contact experience
• Experience working with computers
• Experience answering phones, composing emails, compiling reports, tracking office activities and inventory, entering data, and filing
• Ability to perform essential job functions

Nice To Haves

• Five or more years of full-time experience in work involving front facing public
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide directions, travel details, and lodging information
• Share details about attractions, events, and activities to promote Pennsylvania travel
• Open or close the Welcome Center and help keep displays clean and organized
• Unpack, store, and track literature and supplies for visitor use
• Complete accurate daily reports, customer counts, and reservation details
• Coordinate with supervisors and staff to share questions, needs, or concerns
