About The Position

At Pursuit, we create opportunities for guests to connect with iconic destinations through world-class attractions and distinctive lodges. Our experiences include thoughtfully crafted restaurants, retail, and transportation services. This on-site living role is based at the remote Columbia Icefield in Jasper National Park, offering stunning glacier views and mountain adventure. The location includes the Glacier View Lodge, dining outlets, retail, and the Glacier Adventure and Skywalk. Staff live on-site with accommodations and three hot meals per day.

Requirements

  • Valid Class 2 License with Q endorsement or equivalent with less than 3 demerit points.
  • Ability to comply with National Safety Code regulations, US Department of Transport regulations, Transport Canada regulations, and corporate policies including Drug and Alcohol policies.
  • Fluent and articulate in English, both oral and written.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours and shifts.
  • Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs/32 kg; ability to bend, stoop, squat and stretch.
  • A genuine appreciation for the Canadian Rockies, driving on scenic mountain highways, and sharing in the enthusiasm of guests from around the world.

Nice To Haves

  • Fluency in a second language is a strong asset.
  • Any valid regulatory certificates such as first aid, WHMIS, Worksafe will be taken into consideration.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a safe and comfortable transportation experience aboard premium motor coaches by carrying out detailed pre/post trip inspections, attentive driving, and adherence to driving standards and regulations.
  • Maintain all logs and paperwork required by Transport Canada on a daily basis, including Vehicle Inspection Report and Electronic Logging Device and/or Driver Log Book.
  • Provide safety information to guests regarding the motor coach and ensure passenger safety while on board, embarking, and disembarking.
  • Maintain the interior/exterior cleanliness of motor coaches.
  • Load and unload luggage from motor coach storage areas (up to 50lbs/32kg).
  • Support the team by completing other tasks as assigned by operations staff.
  • Educate guests on the history, culture, flora, and fauna of the Canadian Rockies through storytelling and interactive experiences, sharing interpretive commentary with passion and enthusiasm.
  • Keep guest experience and safety top of mind at all times and seek out ways to connect and enhance experiences.
  • Uphold a high standard of environmental stewardship in accordance with Pursuit’s “Promise to Place”.
