About The Position

The TouchPoint Programming Coordinator manages the day-to-day logistics, scheduling, and on-site coordination of all Thread-led, hosted, and collaborative programming at the TouchPoint hub. This role anchors the weekly threadHOURS drop-in programming on Wednesdays, which focuses on post-high school pathways and resources for young people not enrolled at Thread’s site schools. Additionally, the coordinator is responsible for coordinating workshops, community events, and partner activations hosted at the site. This position acts as the central operational point of contact to ensure smooth operations, effective space utilization, clear communication with programming leaders, and a welcoming, high-quality experience for all participants.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills, proactive problem-solving, and strict attention to detail.
  • Experience or comfort with logistics, event coordination, or facility-based program support.
  • Ability to manage a multi-faceted, recurring programming schedule involving concurrent activities.
  • Consistent availability to work until 7:00 PM on Wednesdays.
  • Flexibility to support occasional evening or weekend programming.
  • Maryland resident, age 18+.
  • Able to commit to full-time service (30–40 hrs/week) for the full 9–10 month term.
  • Must meet MC/SYO eligibility requirements (Service Year Option track: ages 18-24 with a high school diploma or equivalent; Maryland Corps track: any eligible adult 18+, no education requirement).

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the master on-site calendar, room allocations, and weekly runs-of-show for threadHOURS and all other programming.
  • Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and external collaborators to identify high-impact programming opportunities.
  • Coordinate and support briefings, walkthroughs, and planning sessions ahead of major programming events.
  • Monitor and balance the programming pipeline to avoid scheduling bottlenecks.
  • Manage day-to-day physical and operational logistics for all programming, including food/catering, volunteer tracking, and room/technology setups.
  • Support the planning, setup, and execution of large-scale special events.
  • Serve as a primary day-to-day liaison with TouchPoint facilities staff regarding facility agreements and processes.
  • Ensure awareness and adherence to facility rules, community agreements, and safety norms.
