About The Position

In this critical, highly visible role, you will manage projects involving the design, integration and launch of cutting-edge touch & sensor technologies for the world-renowned Apple product portfolio. You will play a key part in providing Apple customers with the best user-experience in the industry by driving the development and deployment of next-generation touch and sensing technologies. Requirements

  • BS in STEM field (e.g. EE, ME, Physics, etc.) and +3 years relevant experience
  • Technical background (e.g., hardware development) with preferences for knowledge of sensor technologies
  • Curiosity about and familiarity with AI tools—with interest to apply them to improve engineering and program workflows
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally (typically once per year; accommodations available as needed)
  • Experience leading multi-functional teams including Electrical, Algorithms, Process and Test Engineering to deliver pioneering sensing solutions
  • Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills
  • Confident in delivering technical data with ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience
  • Proven ability to fit in well with a team, understand others' capabilities and priorities while fostering a collaborative environment, and inspire team members
  • Understands and deals well with rapid development cycles; remains flexible and calm in the face of uncertainty
  • Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities

Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive alignment and communications between multi-functional teams including Electrical, Mechanical, Process, Test, Reliability, Software and Firmware Engineering to deliver state-of-the-art sensing solutions
  • Own program plans, schedules, budget and execution from feature definition through product release — scoping task difficulty, prioritizing risk on high-risk/new-technology projects, and adapting plans as challenges emerge
  • Manage program execution directly with internal and external partners
  • Deliver executive communication/presentations and drive the decision-making process
  • Ensure tight inter-team coordination and communication
  • Drive engineering design by leading failure analysis activities, performance validation requirements and testing, and design release cadence for electrical and mechanical components
  • Identify and resolve conflicts, inter-dependencies and program issues quickly and efficiently
  • Improve the system: look for patterns, offer best practices and implement change
