About The Position

Overview of Responsibilities: Administers payroll, benefits, and wellbeing functions to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with relevant regulations. Communicates total rewards initiatives and educates team members on available programs and changes. Payroll Processing: Ensures accurate and timely payroll processing which includes incentives, reimbursements, garnishments, withholdings, and record keeping. Maintains system security profiles and manages third-party system interfaces with providers. Keeps leaders informed of issues and identifies trends or patterns that may require further review to support risk management or enhance organizational effectiveness. Submits workers’ compensation claims and facilitates communication between team members and insurance providers to support a smooth and timely claims process. Benefits Administration: Serves as the subject matter expert for all benefit offerings. Completes benefits plan testing, billing, and reporting to maintain accuracy, compliance, and effective plan administration. Administers annual open enrollment and ensures team members are informed of benefit options and changes to provide a positive team member experience. Ensures integrity of team member benefit records by reviewing and approving enrollments, renewals, and changes as needed. Monitors costs by providing recommendations on benefits strategy, cost optimization, and compliance with regulations. Coordinates and maintains the wellbeing program to support its design, planning, promotion, and administration by creating awareness among team members. Reporting and Analysis: Tracks benefit and retirement plan compliance and assists with preparing required reports and forms for distribution to appropriate parties. Educates team members on total rewards by communicating the organizations investment in benefits, answering questions, and addressing inquiries as they emerge. Analyzes and prepares HR budget recommendations related to payroll, benefits, and other HR items. Ensures that expenditures are recommended using cost benefit analysis, conducts research as appropriate, monitors budget expenditures when requested, and reports on variances as needed. Team Member Leave and Claims Support: Serves as the primary contact between team members and vendors in managing leave of absence requests, including FMLA and disability. Supports team members in initiating leave requests and facilities coordination with vendors to act as a liaison and guide them through the process as needed. Escalates leave-related information and decisions to HR leadership and appropriate stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Accounting, Human Resources, or related field required
  • 5 years of related experience with responsibility for administering payroll and health benefits in a mid-to large-scale organization required

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC), Certified Benefit Specialist (CEBS), Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) preferred.
