About The Position

Thornton Tomasetti is seeking a strategic and experienced Total Rewards Manager to lead the design, governance, and execution of the company’s compensation, benefits, and leave administration programs across all regions in which we operate. Reporting to the Director of HR Operations & Technology, this role owns the end-to-end strategy, vendor relationships, and contract negotiations for benefits programs in the US, Canada, UK, Australia, India, Vietnam, and other countries, while also overseeing compensation programs and leave administration globally. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is equally comfortable negotiating directly with carriers and brokers as they are coaching and developing a team of specialists.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive Total Rewards experience.
  • 3+ years of people management experience.
  • Experience managing or administering benefits programs across multiple countries (e.g., US, Canada, UK, and/or APAC).
  • Demonstrated experience running RFPs and leading vendor selection and negotiation.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience presenting cost/utilization analysis and budget recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Working knowledge of statutory benefits, leave, and pay regulations in multiple countries.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience delivering employee-facing benefits communications and executive-level presentations.

Nice To Haves

  • CEBS (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist), CCP (Certified Compensation Professional), or GRP (Global Remuneration Professional) certification.
  • Experience with Workday benefits administration.
  • Experience building or scaling Total Rewards programs in a growing, multi-country organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the organization's global benefits strategy aligned with business objectives and employee needs.
  • Lead annual vendor selection, renewal negotiations, and RFP processes for all major benefit programs across the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, India, Vietnam, and future expansion countries.
  • Own relationships with global brokers, consultants, insurers, retirement providers, and wellness vendors.
  • Evaluate market trends and recommend new benefits or enhancements that improve employee experience while maintaining fiscal responsibility.
  • Develop business cases for new global or country-specific benefit offerings.
  • Serve as executive escalation point for complex benefit issues and vendor disputes.
  • Oversee the global compensation framework, including salary structures, job architecture/leveling, and market pricing across all countries of operation.
  • Support pay equity reviews and compensation governance initiatives.
  • Develop compensation recommendations for executive leadership and senior management.
  • Oversee the organization's global leave administration strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, provincial, and international leave requirements.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve leave policies, processes, and system configuration to enhance employee experience and reduce administrative risk.
  • Ensure all compensation and benefit programs comply with applicable laws and regulations globally.
  • Partner with Legal and Compliance on emerging legislative changes.
  • Maintain governance over vendor contracts, renewals, audits, and documentation.
  • Support internal and external audits related to benefits and compensation.
  • Partner with the HR Technology team to optimize Workday configuration supporting compensation, benefits, and leave administration.
  • Develop executive dashboards and reporting for Total Rewards metrics.
  • Analyze utilization, participation, costs, and employee engagement data to support strategic decision-making.
  • Recommend automation opportunities and process improvements.
