About The Position
Join us as a Total Joint Surgeon in Buffalo, NY. Seeking an experienced candidate to join UBMD Orthopedics and Sports Medicine physicians, APPs, and a full compliment of RNs and support staff. This role offers access to advanced robotic systems, outpatient surgery on the hospital campus, dedicated block time with anesthesia coverage, and a supportive environment with access to referring physicians. The position includes robust onboarding, marketing, and physician outreach support, along with strong clinical and administrative support, for a full-time schedule.
Requirements
- MD/DO
- Clear and active state medical license
- Residency and fellowship in surgery preferred
- BC/BE preferred
- Willing to relocate to Buffalo, NY area
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care for adult reconstruction patients along with multiple Fellowship-trained partners
- Perform primary and revision arthroplasty, treat infections, and manage periprosthetic fractures
- Participate in the education of Medical Students, Residents, and Fellows, and departmental Grand Rounds
- Participate in smaller Adult Reconstruction conferences and journal clubs
- Take paid call at level 2 hospitals with the ability to "hand-off" cases to subspecialty-trained partners
- Engage in research opportunities
- Work in partnership with over 30 ancillary service lines
