About The Position

Community Hospital is a full-service, acute-care hospital serving Western Colorado. It is an independently owned hospital with 60 licensed beds and is the largest metropolitan area between Denver and Salt Lake City. The hospital has received a 5-star quality rating from CMS in 2024 and was recognized by Becker’s Healthcare as one of Colorado’s top recommended hospitals. In 2025, it earned the Outstanding Patient Experience Award™ from Healthgrades. Western Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, which has contributed significantly to the hospital's growth, serves as the exclusive Sports Medicine physicians for local high schools, Colorado Mesa University sports, and the Grand Junction River Hawks hockey team. This group is an accredited Joint Commission Orthopedic Center of Excellence for Total Joint Replacement Surgery. As this service line expands, an additional Fellowship Trained Total Joint Surgeon is sought to support the western Colorado and eastern Utah regions.

Requirements

  • Fellowship Trained Total Joint Surgeon.
  • Trauma experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience with the Velys Robotic-Assisted knee replacement program.

Responsibilities

  • Perform total joint replacement surgeries for hip, knee, and shoulder.
  • Support the growing Level III Trauma Center.
  • Participate in a 1:7 call rotation.
