About The Position

The function of the Torque & Test Supervisor is to monitor all accessory torque work and pressure testing to ensure that all applicable Benoit, API, Customer, and safety/environmental requirements are adhered to. The Supervisor-Torque &and Test reports to and receives his authority from the Manager-Accessory Manufacturing and has authority over Torque & Test personnel.

Requirements

3+ years tong/CTM experience required
Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness required
Knowledge of downhole tools required
Ability to lead and manage subordinates effectively required
Professional verbal and written communication skills required
Lift, move, adjust, push, pull and carry objects to waist height up to 75 lbs. without assistance and up to 100 lbs. with assistance
Lift, move, adjust, push, pull, and carry objects from waist to shoulder height up to 75 lbs. without assistance and up to 100 lbs. with assistance
Walk throughout production, warehouse, and office areas
Frequent bending, reaching, stooping and use of stairs
Frequent use of forklift
Visual acuity to see clearly, including reading small print or monitoring equipment
Fine motor skills such as use of hand tools for extended periods of time
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods of time without significant fatigue
Exposure to all outdoor weather elements, temperature extremes, and noise
Use of computer, phone, copier, printer and other office equipment
Effective verbal and written communication in English
Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions in English
Sufficient visual acuity to perform job duties safely and accurately
Ability to work in office, warehouse, production, or outdoor environments as required
Must be able to drive company vehicles and travel for business purposes as needed, including in-town and out-of-town trips
Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future.

Ability to read assembly drawings preferred
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services preferred. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment preferred
Provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person preferred

Responsibilities

Coordinate the movement of all work through the torque & test area, in a timely manner.
Train, monitor and direct the performance of personnel under his authority to ensure Benoit policies and SOPs are adhered to.
Ensure that documentation for work is complete and accurate.
Monitor and maintain torque and pressure test equipment and report any equipment problems to the Accessories Manager.
Ensure that personnel under his authority adhere to Benoit safety and environmental policies.
Maintain a safe and environmentally clean work area.
Coordinate & work with customer & 3rd party representatives on Torque & Test jobs.
Monitor forklift operation by personnel.
Conduct or delegate another member of the department to conduct a "Job Safety Analysis" (JSA) in accordance with Benoit JSA policy.
