Sampson Regional Medical Center is seeking Registered Nursing students in the final semester of their senior year to join the Transition to Professional Practice (TOP RN) program. The program supports nurses during the transition from their final senior semester through their first year of nursing. Participants receive progressive nurse-to-patient ratios, gradually progressing to a full assignment after the first six months following licensure. Participants begin as temporary employees and may transition to full-time, permanent employment once licensed as an RN. The program provides supervised clinical experience in a hospital setting, mentorship from experienced nurses, exposure to nursing responsibilities and clinical equipment, and opportunities to build professional relationships and explore nursing specialties. Participants receive paid work experience and a $1,000 incentive for joining the program.
