About The Position

Our client is a family founded and operated tool and die machine shop known for quality, on-time response, and precision machining. Incorporated in 1985, they are located in Waterbury, Connecticut. Their advanced techniques include Wire EDM, Conventional EDM, CNC Machining, and other traditional processes. They convert specifications and designs into superior products. In the manufacturing process they utilize common as well as exotic materials including: Carbide, Aluminum, Delrin, Titanium, Tantalum, Steel, silver, and Inconel, among others. Their work is done onsite, including carbide and heat treatment. They have complete control throughout the production process. In-house operations eliminate the need to ship to outside services, resulting in reduced lead time and cost, speed of delivery, and reduction or elimination of customer downtime.

Requirements

  • Minimum of seven years experience as a toolmaker.
  • Ability to produce precision parts to blue print specifications.
  • Working knowledge of multiple materials including aluminum, mild steel, tool steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, titanium and a variety of plastics.
  • Thorough understanding of geometrical tolerances.
  • Ability to work with tolerances of .0002-.0005.

  • Produce precision parts to blue print specifications.
  • Work with multiple materials including aluminum, mild steel, tool steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, titanium and a variety of plastics.
  • Achieve typical tolerances of .0002-.0005.
  • Apply a thorough understanding of geometrical tolerances.
