About The Position

Coordinate activities and assist Manufacturing/Tooling Engineering department to facilitate the production of parts under the supervision of the tooling supervisor. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Satisfy tooling orders on a daily basis to support manufacturing and tooling department schedules including but not limited to, tool refurbishment and weld repair, unit tool deliveries, general tooling, and coordinating internal tool movement. Develop and maintain department goals and projects as well as help improve department operational effectiveness. Ability to proficiently use the inner shield wire welder. Furnace knowledge of preheating and post-heating dies. Ability to set up and use of automatic welding positioner. Maintain welder cables & wire feed. Must be able to read blueprints. Perform other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Minimum one year welding, tooling or related experience.
  • Forklift Operator’s certificate required.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk quickly, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear in a load and hot environment.
  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, or crouch, and climb onto equipment.
  • Occasionally required to sit.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to focus.
