About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining all tooling and supporting production with mold repair/maintenance operations. The role involves supporting and maintaining company policies including ISO Standards, Health and Safety Requirements, Continuous Improvement, and standard work procedures. The technician will interact with engineering, production, and tooling staff for troubleshooting molds, identifying solutions to complex molding and mold problems in injection molding manufacturing, and creating work orders for mold service. They will also coordinate the implementation of repair solutions, verify mold readiness for production, and advise production and engineering on mold conditions. Additionally, the role includes training others on equipment operation in the Tool Repair department and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Nice To Haves

5+ years of experience in mold making, mold design, and/or mold processes strongly preferred
Mechanical aptitude.
Microsoft Office and Engineering software computer skills.

Responsibilities

Coordinate the implementation of solutions for needed repairs.
Verify molds are production ready; advise production and engineering of condition of molds.
Train others on operation of equipment in the Tool Repair department.
