Acloché has immediate openings for experienced Tooling Technicians in Carey, Ohio! This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with a growing manufacturing company. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 3 years of injection molding, mold repair, machine repair, or auxiliary equipment maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.
  • Strong mechanical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with computerized maintenance systems (CMMS).

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a Department of Labor-approved apprenticeship program focused on plastics manufacturing technology or tool and die.
  • Associate degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Mold repair, overhaul, modification, and preventive maintenance.
  • Hot runner system setup and repair.
  • Plastics manufacturing processes and technology.
  • Knowledge of screws, barrels, material delivery systems, grinders, dryers, separators, and temperature control units.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and power transmission systems.
  • Understanding of mold design, drawings, specifications, and process documentation.
  • Proficiency with computer applications and maintenance software systems.
  • Ability to perform English/Metric conversions and technical measurements.
  • Experience operating material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the transfer and installation of new molds, resins, and machinery.
  • Clean, repair, and overhaul molds, hot runner systems, machines, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to improve cycle times, product quality, and equipment reliability.
  • Prepare molds, bases, and inserts to meet scheduled changeovers.
  • Complete preventive maintenance protocols utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Start up, shut down, and operate injection molding machines.
  • Assist in the training and development of apprentices and technical specialists.
  • Communicate project status, technical issues, and solutions during shift handoffs.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned.
  • Provide coverage for Process Specialists and Mold Technicians as needed.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following all company safety, environmental, and quality standards.
